You turn in the screw to make it sift later and screw it out to make it shift sooner.

RE: Tsunami concern
Is the stub axles a major weak point on tsunami, or nitro rc. Have my tsunami for two week now, and broke three stub axle and two rear axle holder's. (Have no part in stock[>:]) Broke them off going over very small speed bump in garage parking lot. It jumps about 3 inches, land and snap.[>:]. Being a mechanic I fix them up with welder and cotter pins, but want to know if im just driving it wrong or just bad parts in general.

RE: Tsunami concern
Which ones you talking about the one that connects to the wheels or the ones on the gearbox ?
|
RE: Tsunami concern
Is it a good idea to get the aluminum upper body plate? Those it replace any of the parts already there? Is the battery's harder to change or makes no difference at all?
|
RE: Tsunami concern
Talking about the one holding the wheel.

As I have been converting my buggy into a Tsunami I have learned a lot here are some pictures of what I have already, and with the aluminum upper plate I like it because it makes it look better I think, you have to have a hump pack battery for it if you switch to the aluminum upper plate, you can have the recharging plug to the side behind the steering servo, thats how I have mine.

RE: Tsunami concern
i see your in canada, if its very cold out, plastic is brittle and breaks easily. upgrade to aluminum if you keep haveing the problems in the cold.
|
RE: Tsunami concern
Macanan what is a hump pack battery?
|
RE: Tsunami concern
it has to be a 5 cell hump pack like the ones here on Clermonts sight

RE: Tsunami concern
Those the battery goes in the same holder, or do you have to do mods?
|
RE: Tsunami concern
No, no mods at all it fits in like a glove.
|
RE: Tsunami concern
hump packs will fit in any place a regular battery holder will fit.

RE: Tsunami concern
Does anyone knows if there is a HPI part # to replace the tsunami stub axle #02033, or are all 1/10 scale have similar stub axle?

RE: Tsunami concern
ORIGINAL: STP Racing Talking about the one holding the wheel. I broke two within a few minutes of one another It was cold out and I was really abusing my Tsunami I own 2 tornado's and a himoto road car also and I never broke a axle I believe the stance and big tires might have done it-could have been the cold? I have big proline tires on all the rest of my cars-but with wide 2.2 rims---maybe the 2.6 rims stock on the Tsunami is the problem?? Never thought about welding the broken ones (I'm a retires ASE tech)-great idea I have a mig and gas welder here DOUG |
RE: Tsunami concern
ORIGINAL: ehroof get the 42 and 47 tooth spur gears 06032, 06033 I want to get both but not sure when I would swap them out. |
RE: Tsunami concern
the tsunami is a 2 speed so there are 2 spur gears, 1st and 2nd gear
|
RE: Tsunami concern
are these hump packs a direct plug or do you have to modify the harnes or plug it in? what is the battery life of the humppack compared to traditional AA battery's?
|
RE: Tsunami concern
direct fit, plugs in the same way the regular battery holder does. It depends on the mah but they should last longer and have more power than typical alkaline batteries.
