this summer i want to get into racing...we have a great on road track and soon an off road one. so i want to get into racing but i'm consious on my budget. i want to spent someware near $650 and have a decent racer. here are the classes:

1/10 on road (.12 engine)
1/8 on road (.21 engine)

1/8 truggies(.21 engine)
1/8 buggies(.21 engine)

i really like the larger scale(1/8) but i don't think that my budget will alow:(.....
i want you guys to suggest a setup( chasis, engine, radio)
how would the redcats do against the "big boys'', anyone race them ?

that price range could get you close in one class. Which are you leaning towards?

well i'm leaning towards the 1/10 on roads because there the cheapest and i race their electric brothers....(that is a rough price range +/- $100)

you should buy a rtm b/c no redcat rtr has a .12 or.21 in it
