Got online to chat with AffordableRC about ordering my Monsoon tonight, and he is not on....talk about crazy....this sucks...on another not, I built a ramp and ran the Tornado on it today, got some good air, crash pretty good a couple of times, and even broke a mount for the wing...sweet!!!...anyway. plan on getting some video of me and dad tomorrow...if it doesn't rain.

WOOHOO.....ordered my Monsoon first thing this morning. Can't wait to get it. I will be sure to get some pics for everyone once I get her going. Also realized I have a duffel bag already that I should be able to fit both my cars, controllers and this carrying case I have all my tools and spare parts in. Should work out pretty good.

Its funny that you say don't break anything. I just broke my rear diff where the dogbone attaches, and I lost the dogbone in the grass somewhere. Oh well. I am gonna see if dads off of his condor will work and steal it.

oh, it is ok. I kinda deserved it. I knew the dogbone was bent already, and jumping off of my ramp I built probably wasn't a good idea. Oh well, like I say, live and learn. On another note, I got my Monsoon ordered so hopefully I will get that soon, and be under way with that. I am going to order parts for my Tornado tonight, so soon I will have 2 good running cars.

I can't find my book for part numbers, so does anyone know what size dogbones I need for the rear of my Tornado, and do I just need to buy the differential gear?

part # 06022 for the rear dog bone...cant find rear diff exploded view to see whats ya need...seen the housing but looks empty...id call or emal one the dealers that frequent here and tell em what ya got...didnt see dog bones on clermonts site but I bet he has em...allaboutfun has the dogbones listed

It is actually part #06061 for the rear dogbones for a Tornado. Have you pulled the differential apart to identify what gear or gears got stripped? You can get either just the gears to fix it or buy a complete differential. Here are a couple links:

Thanks for that help guys. Those are the parts I need. I didn't strip any of the gears. The shaft that comes out where you attach the dogbones is what broke. So I just need that gear. On another unfortunate note. Didn't get to do any bashing. We were too busy trying to figure out why dads car wouldn't stay running, and lost track of time. So it looks like I am going to have to wait on some video. Sorry guys. I will get some of me with my Monsoon next weekend hopefully.

Is it the drive cup that got lost or broken or did the differential pinion gear break?? Sounds like all you need is a pinion gear and not a whole differential. Here is a link, see if this part looks familiar.

No, that is not the part. It is where the dogbone for the wheels connects. I think I will jut get the whole differential.

ok, I have tried to email him, call him, so now I have sent an email to Redcat with concerns on him, as well as sent an email to paypal requesting a refund. I am highly upset with this situation, so if I get my money back, I would like to know what everyone thinks is the best place to order from, other than affordablerc.com. Thanks everyone.

Dude... You do realize you ordered the Monsoon on 2/16 right? Thats is a Saturday, wouldn't ship till possibly Monday and today is Wednesday. Wouldn't you call that a bit unreasonable?

I like to track my shipments...if I buy something from someone, and they dont answer my emails, I buy from them once and only once..theres more to running a business then just selling the item...customer care is key...im sure his monsoon is on its way..and everything is fine..

Yeah, that is what I am saying. He sent me a pm Monday cuz we both forgot it was a holiday. So I was understanding. He told me that he was going to ship it Tuesday and would send me the shipping info as soon as he had it. So now being Wednesday night and still no info like I was told, and now I can't reach him on here, his email, his wife's email( I am taking that is who Barbera is), or on his phone....it all seems a little fishy. So I am taking necessary precautions so I don't get totally screwed. It is one thing to be unreasonable with no info, or communication, but it is another thing to worry when nothing is happening with the $330 you just spend on products that haven't been shipped like you were told they were going to be. I am not trying to be a dick about this, I am just concerned with what is going on.
