Help!! Brushless conversion goes backwards!!
Well, the title says it all. I just put in a lrp vector x-11 brushless modified motor and lrp sphere competition esc out of my buddies tc4. Runs fast!!! BACKWARDS!!! LoL I figured out why, but now I need to know if it's fixable. His drive train runs backwards from mine. You turn his driveshaft one way, it goes forward. Turn mine on my Volcano the same way, it's reverse. Any ideas on what I can do for this?? Anyone?? Please?? LOL :(

RE: Help!! Brushless conversion goes backwards!!
reverse the black and red wire
|
RE: Help!! Brushless conversion goes backwards!!
you need to switch the wires arooound until it works or else some esc can be programmed to throttle reversing my novak goat did the same thing but it should be an easy fix

RE: Help!! Brushless conversion goes backwards!!
The only red and black is from the battery to the esc. There's three wires from the esc to motor. Yellow, red, and blue. LoL I'm in over my head I think. I took everything out of the other car, left it all hooked up so I couldn't mess that up, only to find the gears go backwards in the differentials on these.

RE: Help!! Brushless conversion goes backwards!!
probably red and blue then

RE: Help!! Brushless conversion goes backwards!!
Ask Pede kid. He has had the same problem and figured it out. Sounds like he just switched the wired on teh motor.
|
RE: Help!! Brushless conversion goes backwards!!
Thanks guys, I'll pm him and let you know how it goes. This may help. The red goes to terminal mot c, the yellow to mot b, and the blue to mot A on the motor. I won't burn anything up or damage anything swapping wires around?

RE: Help!! Brushless conversion goes backwards!!
yeah, switch any two wires

RE: Help!! Brushless conversion goes backwards!!
Well, I talked to the guys at team associated in cali, since this is a sensored system there's no way to get it to run the opposite direction. [&o] So I guess I'm outta luck with going brushless. Anyone interested in this LRP motor & esc? LoL From what I hear it's pretty good. As long as your diffs are geared the right way. LoL

RE: Help!! Brushless conversion goes backwards!!
wow, that stinks bro, did you try to reverse the wires?

RE: Help!! Brushless conversion goes backwards!!
I thought about that. LoL Instead I listed it on the classifieds here. Maybe it'll sell. They're pretty expensive new.

LordMik, i sent you a pm

RE: Help!! Brushless conversion goes backwards!!
Got it. Thanks mike.

RE: Help!! Brushless conversion goes backwards!!
You should be able to switch the wires to run a different way. Motors are designed to run either way.
|
RE: Help!! Brushless conversion goes backwards!!
cant you just switch your throttle on your remote?
|
RE: Help!! Brushless conversion goes backwards!!
Unfortunately, no. This motor will not run in the opposite direction.

RE: Help!! Brushless conversion goes backwards!!
How about ya reverse mount the body. Then you'll have a Rear Steer car. IMAGINE how Sharp you will be able to carve a corner!:D
UUhhhmm.....Sorry.....just trying to add a bit of Humor to a Bummer of a situation. Seriously tho. I cannot see how such a simple Motor cannot be made to turn in the opposite Direction.....I has reverse,,,,,right? Perhaps the limitation is the ESC. Maybe the sensor will nor operate correctly with the motor running in an opposite direction. Perhaps a new ESC. I think I read in a RC Mag that you could run a Sensored Moter with an ESC that has no Sensor. But you cannot use a SENSORED ESC to run a Non sensored motor. Does that make sense to you Electric RC folks? |
