RE: volcano problem maybe
no the rear brace is there and it almost looks like the brace is to long and pushes tower out
|
RE: volcano problem maybe
It looks fine to me, it is normal for both the front and rear shock towers to lean back. Also for the battery box/ shock issue; you can shave just a little off the corner with a dremel drill and it will clear just fine. I'll try to get a pic of mine for you.

RE: volcano problem maybe
but in one of the third pic you can see that the shock tower and the bumper dont look right look between the shock were te bumper hit tower it should be at 90 degrees there or at least you would think that on my old volcano STX the tower was never bent like that but it might just be the new style
After furthur looking it looks ok compared to the rest of the pics ive sen but it just looks cattywompus |
RE: volcano problem maybe
You shouldnt have to shave anything and the shock tower does look like its leaning pretty bad. Does redcat look at these before selling?

Hey blue thanks for pointing it out. I will look at some of the ones here and compare them all. i just glanced at one and it almost looks like the shock towers are backwards but i will look for sure. Hang in there i will have an answer for you very soon.

RE: volcano problem maybe
Ya no prob Ill tryto switch it around and see what happens just though it was goofy
|
RE: volcano problem maybe
mine looks like that also and its not even a redcat. its a different brand but its the same truck.

RE: volcano problem maybe
u can just use a dremel tool on the battery box, but leave the screw on there and grind it all the way so it is flush with the screw head where it touches, that's what i did and it works fine now.

RE: volcano problem maybe
I just shot an email off to the factory so they can make some changes in future shipments.
Anyone have an SV that might be about 2-4 months old? If so, did you have to do this as well? Darin |
RE: volcano problem maybe
I believe the battery box clearance has been an issue for awhile now. It just barely touches the spring and does not cause that much of an issue; thats why I'm sure you haven't heard much about it. You can see in the pictures on your site that it is very close to the shock.
