redcat just needs to take it back
I bought an exceed truck and I like it so much that i thougt that I would buy a redcat truggy because it had the engine warranty. Well since i bought I have had nothing but problems. The first problem was that as soon as we put batteris in it the steering didnt work at all. well it turned out to be a bad transmitter so I sent the transmitter back and redcat sent me a new radio setup. now with the brand new setup the trottle doesent work and its the throttle channel on the receiver. The other problem is that the 2 speed never works it takes forever to shift one time then shifts instantly the next time and then sticks in 2nd gear and then shifts all erratically and even with the grub screw turned in all the way it still seems like it has no power. even with a perfectly tuned engine from my exceed. so i dont know what to do. i wouldnt mind sending the radio set in and receiving a 1 speed conversion in trade. i would rather buy an after market radio.

Someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I dont think REDCAT sells a 1 speed conversion for the Tsunami. you can probably put the volcano direct drive that clermont sells on there. as for the radios, just to save you hassel just buy a better one

part number 5126 44t supr gear and 8011 clutch bell is what i used for my tsunami to convert to a single speed

The whole redcat line is a joke I have been driving rc nitro for a while my redcat came with a associated servo none working sent it back they said not theres. My one way bearing does not work with roto start i have to clean it everytime I use it or it slips. My servos glitch again not under warrenty. I contacted them several times there is no warrenty on these nito cars i had it three weeks and all these problem. Also my dogbones are bent,mind you never crashed this once. So I called again and asked what was covered under the 90 day warrenty and the guy said nothing I dont know what to say. All I wanted was 2 dogbones and a one way gear not even a servo and he said sorry. Stay away from the volcano sv atleast they are selling them through dealers on ebay and they are junk.They might have made improvements cause now it comes with a 1-1/4 pull start not a one inch and a better engine.And my controller well you know that issue mine ran all the way down the street on its own.

Really my jato rtr has great radio equipment want to race and see 0-60 in 4.3 seconds.

The car should be perfect out of the box not have issues spend alittle more and see the traxxas advantage and power and speed.

my 1/10 buggy and my Tsunami ultrawide were perfect out of the box. Maybe its just karma on your part.

If you cant get it off the ground in second gear you wont even come close lets see what you car looks like after i push you up to 60 mph and you crash into something. I can get parts for the jato in 20 min and back on the road how about you?

I am calm like i said just letting everyone know about the volcano sv come on 188.00 delivered price something wrong close out cause they upgraded should have went with the sv pro.Im not totally done with redcat yet but close very close.

well I totally agree on the radio being dangerous...thats if your talking about the fm...I havent had any trouble with the am...but dont run it alot and soon wont run it any....my hurricanes are pretty tuff and havent had a lick of trouble with my lightning....thats even with sliding sideways into a curb and just cracking a wheel....but like you said...the whole redcat line is junk...lol....with their associated servo's and all..lol
