Wheels and tires
 

What wheels and tires are you guys using when you need new ones on your Tsunami Ultra-wides? Had a little mishap and need rear wheels and tires along with a few other parts.

Any suggestions?

Thanks Rclynx, those look sweet.

Does any one know where I can get parts? Redcat does not have the parts I need in stock. It shows an arrival date of 4/23/2008 but that day has come and gone and still not in stock and I dont want to pay shipping twice.

The main parts I need are:

1) 115mm dog bones
2) Stub axles
3) Front hub carrier

I guess these are the easiest parts to break thatas why they are out of stock...LOL

Man, I have so many nOOb questions I'm starting to bore myself.....

What size rims are on a Tsunami Ultrawide? 2.8?

Not sure of how the sizing works? Will wheels for different brans work also for example 2.8 rims for a Traxxas or Imex RC?

I believe they have a 12mm hex mount. I am not sure about the tire size though.
Give this guy a try, he's on ebay and has great prices and ships fast. If you e-mail him through his site he will tell you what wheels will fit your truck.

I have a Volcano, not a Tsunami. But the basics of tires and wheels are the same. You need the right hex size nd the right distance from where the hex mounts n the rim to the inside edge of the wheel for clearance. nd the diameter of your wheels and tires is not critical as long as the outside diameter of your wheels (like 2.8 inch or 2.2 inch) matches the inside (bead) diameter of the tires. Aftr that, the outside diameter of the tires can be what you want, although it can affect acceleration and top end speed. Check the following post for more detail, but remember it is specific to a Volcano.

There are no real tall tires in the 30 series which are what you might call the 2.8 to get the after market tires that would fit the Volcano in the same height tire all proline makes are the 2.2. The 30 series tires are very close to the same height as the Tsunami tires [)]
