Center diff vs slipper
I was reading an article on the importance of not landing a jump with the throttle on and It got me thinking. The article stated that it puts tremendous stress on the drive train and that spur gears would strip. On way to help alleviate the problem would be to loosen the slipper a bit, but the best would be not to land with the throttle on.
I do jump my earthquake and monsoon a fair bit and I do sometimes land with the throttle on, so I lossened the slipper on the quake a bit, but the monsoon come with a center diff and not a slipper. Is the center diff better than the slipper for landing on throttle and is there anyway to adjust it like on the quake? Just a little worried that I will strip the gears on the monsoon. |
RE: Center diff vs slipper
There's no way to adjust it. Just don't land with throttle on. your not supposed to land with the throttle on anyway.
