Ive never seen the redcat brushless run in person yet, but i picked up my 60 amp 8.5t ezrun setup for 115 shipped on ebay. I like it, but its sensorless so it coggs at first. Ive heard great things from the redcat system though

jeez i woulda figured that redcats systems would have been cheaper. i think i would be better off with a sidewinder then

sidewinders is still 150, and redcats is sensored, sidewinders is sensorless.

I forgot, but ive heard that the sidewinder cc 1/10 mamba motor's rotor is only a 380, in a 540 can. Im not sure if its true but ive heard it a few times. Like the ezruns with the fins on it are 380 sised rotors, but the fins make it a 540 can, but the ones without fins are actual 540 rotors.

oh ok i planned on getting a traxxas vxl motor with a sidewinder esc

The redcat system is NOT sensored. It's sensorless and I think the motor could be a bit better and the esc isn't all that great. It coggs quite a bit and with only the 3300kv motor.

And I've never heard that the mamba motors use 380 sized rotors. I've heard that on the ez-runs, the 9t, 13t, 19t, etc, etc use 380 size rotors and that the 13.5, 8.5, 17.5's use the regular 540 size rotors

Whoops i thought it was sensored. Ive yet to hear a bad thing about the redcats brushless, but i havent had it personally.
But i love my ezrun, i would deffinitely buy one again. Ive had no problems at all with it.

Novak also makes a realy nice Sensored brushless sytem 90amp for less than 150 ish. those ezruns are a nice setup we just started selling those in the store. I got turned on to them by a customer who raved about them. so we tried them out and liked them. they sell like hot cakes and everyone loves them.
