8e Steering Servo Problem.

Any having problems with the 8e series steering servos? When I pulled it out of the box my Earthquake has been acting funny, and hasn't changed even though it took a big front hit. The steering servo is not turning correctly. How can you check for correct operation? I thought it was a speed related thing, ie more responsive the faster it goes. I know there is a sensitivity adjustment and I adjusted that, adjusted that. Any sugg?

take off the servo arm and check that it is still fully turning in both directions..<div>if not it could either that you change the epa on the radio(controlls how far the servo will travel in each direction) or you servo may be screwed.. i had a brand new servo redcat servo go bad as soon i took it out of the box.</div>

Could I get a new one under warranty?  when it came out of the box it seemed like it was under pressure when turning w/o the wheels on the ground like something was holding it back, did not change even after I hit the tree but that was head on on the bumper not the susp.

Kurt from urchobby.com gave me a great fix for it, talked to him on the phone he has a lot of good stuff to do and say about the 8e series will be doing bus with him in the future.

I'd replace it with something of higher quality. Look at hitec servos. A little extra cash and you'll have a servo you can trust for a long time. Look for one 140oz+.
