Actually hes right, redcats are just rebranded HSPs...
look-
Rampage Dunerunner
Shockwave
Tornado
<a target="_blank" href="http://www.hspracing.com/product_view.asp?id=873">Vortex
</a><a target="_blank" href="http://www.hspracing.com/product_view.asp?id=866">Lightning
</a><a target="_blank" href="http://www.hspracing.com/product_view.asp?id=856">Hurricane XP

</a><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; font-size: large;">
</span></font>
The only thing I couldn't find was the sumo class of RCs
... Redcat did seem to install new engines and servos ...
And have good customer service that actually speaks ENGLISH...
But they are just rebranded china cars.

I still like them though.<br type="_moz" />

I don't know. I guess any company needs to get some start-up money before they can do R@D.
But its been 5 years...
I sure hope they start making their own cars pretty damn soon...

Not that it makes a big difference, I hate to tell you this but private label or 'rebranding' as you put it, is common in all products from food, electronics and most hard goods. Many so called 'brands' do not make their own items. Some sub contract and Some may assemble their own goods but use parts made by others.

RE: Devils Advocate Redcat Thread

Yes, We all know they are rebranded, But if You actually did some research into this and look deeper into past posts and threads, You will find that this disscusion has been talked about OVERand OVER.. I agree it has been a while and they should start making some of their own models, But any bussiness take at least 3-5years to get up and going.. Also.. maybe do a bit MORE research and find out where the "big name" RC brands get their parts made.. still in china..

yep...lets not start whining again...first any rc ain't what it seems...get a clue...
all of it is re-branded along with anything else...get over it as you get older you will see more stuff that you thought wasn't..
Rc's is all about a hands on thing...anyone whining about it shouldn't be into it,take up nitting or something,(whiners)...
your wrong the way you bash at the company's ...if you don't like it or feel you gotton ripped off...build your own and do something better for your life..
the world is a dog eat dog world...I buy many kinds of RC's and they break ,that's part of the hobby...no one said it's a cheap hobby..
i for one will be the first to report a person or post because of the bashing against RedCat or any other company...
why? because i can and will..get over it and grow up...
