Ace! you the man! How the hell did you get the elliptical curve on the Leading Edge of the Spit??
We've been struggling with that one for years, and my buddy is a structural engineer?
So whats the trick to folding that Coro?
Below is a pic of my FW-190....

Dude, how in the bleep did you find out about s.p.a.d. in the 1st place? A club secret? Come on[:@] Your "expert" s.p.a.d. builders in your secret club, wouldn't have even known a plane could be built out of coroplast if it wasn't for hardworking UNSELFISH guy's sharing there info for the love of the hobby and fellow pilots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to be so hard on you kid, just wanted to share a lesson before you turn 16. Actually I don't blame you for this, just remember how s.p.a.d. got to the masses

It REALLY burn my butt when I hear of s.p.a.d. builders keepin' secrets!.............scheeeesh

How about passing this secret on to your s.p.a.d. mentors

the reason i don't wan't to tell any one is because i might get in trouble with other club members
for giving out there secrets..
i'll ask my club if i can give out some info on the building of our aircraft
and i hate to think that some one will come along and try and make a profit out of it.....
is there any way to prevent that?

Folks, let me assure you that there's nothing secret about their planes. Ace Bogie would like to think there was, but, its all been done before. Most likely anything they are doing has been done before, and probably discussed in detail on the rcca forum. Unfortunately, most of that near 80 meg database is no longer online. You can take a look at the plans for the Corostang, and get a real good idea of how to build nearly any warbird you'd like. They may be putting strapping tape on the leading edge, or shoving a piece of balsa in the leading edge, or maybe even using a hardwood, or c/f leading edge for stiffness. But, unless your flying hardcore combat, there's no real advantage to it.
At any rate, don't let this kid's boasting get the best of you. He doesn't know half what the rest of you do, like Spad is about doing it for enjoyment, and helping others out.
Really want to get an idea of what kind of kid Ace is? Check out this thread:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_60.../tm.htm#608783
funny how he's changed his tune in less than 9 months.
My suggestion is to just not give him the satisfaction.

LOL
yep that was a long time ago
at least it was to me
but ya i was being a jerk and an ass, but i was very mad at the time for i spent allot of time and money on that plane and when nothing worked out I got a bit mad.
I now realize how much work they put into there plans.. and that they are doing it to make people happy
and i do agree that spad is about doing for the enjoyment, and helping others out.
and i would like to personally apologize to tatoo and kraut for all the thing i said.
and for chrisSpad i really really hope you get that thing out of your ass, because you obviously spent alot of time looking for that forum.
and about our little secret of our planes
Your not really even close... we made every thing from our own plans and designs.. and lol trust me this has not been done before because I my self thought it had to been done before, and I personally have not seen any thing that comes close to how we make our wings.
So I would like to finish this post by asking the readers of this topic not to judge me by what happen some time ago, because i was a child who was vary mad at Spad because I felt that i allot of money and time, but for now i look at it as a learning experience.
and I would also like to thank ChriseSpad, yes thank him, for making me realize what a jerk i was and allowing me to apologize for what i said.

blah blah blah. More of the same. Too bad they removed the real humdinger comments from it. Its not that i've spent alot of time looking at that topic, i happened to be the moderator of this forum then, and it was brought to my attention.
You were complaining about it costing 20.00, and yet earlier in this thread you hawk your club's planes at 100.00 each. Hypocrite.
If Ace had the guts to share his so called secrets, i'd be willing to bet you could find every one of them done by someone else in the past, and posted elsewhere. Just because he's not seen it, certainly doesn't mean it hasn't been done.

and ya when your'e spend the hole summer at your grandparents and you only have 50 bucks for the hole two months ya it kind of sucks to lose 20 of it.
So how can I be a hypocrite when its not me who is selling the planes. I had no say in how much he is selling those planes.
and yes it may, have been done be for but if you read my post you will see that i said !QUOT!I personally have not seen any thing that comes close to how we make our wings.!QUOT!

so really man, I said i was sorry for what i said on that forum. but I am not sorry for what I have said to you, because your the one attacking me, and all i am doing is defending my self.
and one more thing
Does it really make you feel good to try and make a KID look bad.

I'd be willing to put in a $20 donation with a 5 other folks to buy the first one at $100 so we could reverse engineer it and hyperlink the plans everywhere.
[X(]
I'm sure after the first one is reverse engineered, the other ones will come easy.
