COROPLAST CUTTING BREAKTHROUGH!
At least for me I don't know how many of you are using one of these but you have to give it a try. I was getting some supplies at walleee world and happened across one of those rotary cutters used for cutting sewing materials. It is made by fiskars and has a pretty large diameter wheel. (looks like a pizza cutter). I used it to cut out a new design I am working on last night. It is awesome. I have used all kinds of things to cut coroplast but this seems to be the ticket. I don't know why, but I can cut a straight line with it no problem (might be from cutting a few thousand pizza's in my lifetime)

RE: COROPLAST CUTTING BREAKTHROUGH!
I've been using one of these cutters for alose to a year now, and it is quite handy. It beats hacking through 4 mil coro
with exacto blades for sure. And yes, it cuts across flutes and beats the pants off bandsaws. One shortcoming is that it only works best when cutting straight lines.
You can get one of these and replacement blades at places like JoAnn Fabrics and they come in different diameters as well.
Watch out for your fingers. It cuts so effortlessly and blade is so sharp that you might slice your fingertips off if they happen to be in the way.

RE: COROPLAST CUTTING BREAKTHROUGH!
I used the cutter to cut out 2 entire planes yesterday. It works great. I would however like to get something to cover the top of my workbench as it makes grooves quite easily in the wood top. What do you guys use? my bench is 3' by 7' and I was thinking of using a sheet of glass but am worried about cracking it if I clamp down on something too hard.

I tried one of those about a year age and wasn't real impressed. I cut with and against the grain pretty well but I couldn't get it to cut a strait line when I was cutting diagonaly to the flutes. I guess I will try it again and see how it goes.

RE: COROPLAST CUTTING BREAKTHROUGH!
use what the fabric cutters use.... a cutting mat.
My wife has one of those cutters, and a 4 x 4 sheet of cutting mat, that can be rolled up. I know it cuts her fabrics very nicely.

My big ole sweet wife gave me one of her old cutting pads. In addition to cutting nicely the grid is handy to check alignment when bending landing gear. thudriver

RE: COROPLAST CUTTING BREAKTHROUGH!
The one I have is made by OLFA of Japan. But all these 'pizza' style cutters are pretty much the same.
The blade on the OLFA is EXTREMELY sharp. I can literally put just a bit of pressure on the handle without even rolling it and the blade will just cut all the way through the 4 mil coro like butter.
When I want to cut large pieces , I use a aluminum straight edge right up against the balde and just push the blade through. A wooden edge won't do, because the blade will actually shave wood if the blade starts to wander a bit.
The trick to get clean cut is to guide the the blade through the cut with a firm grip on the handle to resist the twist while pressing right up against the aluminum edge, which invaribly happens when cutting across flutes. Having a sharp blade helps alot here.
