Default More Schoolroomspad

Here is the newest plane my 6th grade class built and set up. Will try it out this weekend. Used Boogerboy's fuse idea. Thanks again!

Thanks everyone for the positive responses. We took it out this weekend and it flew great. I really like Boogerboy's fuse idea. The airtronics radio we used came from a great guy, Mr.Itz and I supplied the somewhat cranky MDS 40. The kids are getting great at spad building processes and we are starting an ultraspadstick soon. I want to thank Kripto for a great deal on a beautiful prop hub and prop nut for our pending project. I am in the process of writing a school room grant for building SPADS in the classroom. Wish us luck and thanks everyone for the generous support!

Tommy, just a word of caution, if your using CA glue BE CAREFULL, apart from the obvious problem of getting it in the eyes (eayrs, nose, etc, etc) the fumes are real bad for the lungs and nose.

Do you still have the original carb on that thing? I have an MDS 40 that was a bit cranky until I called Horizon and got a new C2 carb for it. The original carbs were bad so Horizon will replace it for free. I just called them and told them I had the MDS 40 with the original carb and it was causing me lots of problems. They just took my name and address and shipped me the new carb. The service was great and the new carb made the engine run so well that I was happy enough with Horizon that I bought 2 MDS 68's (which I LOVE!).

Long story short, the new carb made my MDS 40 a good, reliable engine.

PM me if you need more info.
