Default Control Engine Tank servo / receiver

For those of us on a limited budget is there plans out there for interchanging all those listed in the subject without having to transfer them individually into a new SPAD? Is anyone doing this as a single unit and willing to share their ideas?

One of the early and very succesful commercial producers of coroplast planes (cant remember the name, but there still in business) uses a removable tray that carries the engine, tank, and other essentails on it from plane to plane. Maybe you could get a look at one of those?

Some of the combat planes on Spad to the Bone use a yard stick and mount the gas tank-reciever-etc to them--The Bat plane uses one--Dura-Plane is the name of that company that has removable tray

I think most of us started out with that slide-in/slide out setup. I personally have just changed to using the L-shaped mount and sticking the rest inside with double sided tape and zip ties. I think the time you take getting the other stuff to fit on the stick is more than just re-installing the stuff individually.

The pic of this "power pack" was taken from the Demon plans. It's good for most any plane using the pvc pipe though.

psst. its aircore that uses the trays, not duraplane. Incidentally, there's been several made with varying degrees of simplicity and success.
Tower used to have the aircore power packs, might take a look there, and see if they still have em.

Reapr,
This URL may be useful http://home.earthlink.net/~plasticwings/powerpack.html

I ran across it one night while searching for the same type of setup. I recently started building a spad and I have incorporated a setup that is similar. I'm using a gutter coupler with a 2"x3" PVC downspout cut in a U shape riveted to the coupler. It slides in the front part of the fuse with no problem. If it works I'll try to post photos and plans for it.
Good luck with your search.

Or, you could just set them all up to accept the plastic radio tray that comes with radios. That's what I do, less than 20 minutes between planes.
