Default Which muffler for OS 25 Fx

Hi All !!!

I posted this in Questions and Answers forum, but no response. Let's try it here

I have a OS 25 FX on a PBF that I want to put a Mousse Can Muffler on. Seen at the Mac's website they make a muffler for the 25 Fx. Will this muffler boost rpm's to the same amount that a Mousse Can Muffler would ? If so, this would be the most economical route to take in just buying the muffler.

Otherwise I would purchase the header pipe and construct the Mousse Can Muffler.

Thanks for your reply

Cary

the macs one piece muffler won't buy you a single rpm. it is generally lighter, though, and makes for a little better transition. If you want rpm, a regular tuned pipe will work, as will a mouse can setup. If your looking for all out top end at a reasonable price, a kentucky mousse can is the way to go.
You'll probably have to call them, but the whole setup with a macs header runs around 30.00

I second the Kentucky MCP, it makes my .25fx scream bloody murder.

Does your stock .25FX muffler have a baffle in it? If so you could try removing it first and see if you get the performance increase you want.
