Default SPAD balance and antenna ???

My ARF debonair design came out at a perfect front to rear balance. But its heavy to the right from the engine muffler. I put the reciever and the battery pack far left in fuse but its not enough. Any ideas on adding wieght to the wing? Only other idea I have is adding it somehow to the left landing gear.

Also Ive seen on the spad site people running the antenna wire out of the fuse then into the flute hole in the side of the stab. Does this work well with no adverse effects on the signal?

Whats the best way to test your radios range?

Add some weight to the left wing (Spad sure makes this easy!) with double-sided stickyback until you are laterally balanced. If it's just slightly right heavy, it won't make much of a difference in flight...but go ahead and take the time to do it, I do. I've had bad ones that corkscrew in the loops, and then looped perfect after laterally balancing.

Personaly i've never bothered, i can see the point on a patern or 3d plane but not on a trainer or combat ship

cjsworks I saw your pic's so I know that you have your wing tips covered what I've done in the past is double back tape some Penny's on the bottom of the wing at the tip. Big Bob

As long as your antenna is away from servo leads and metal control rods you should be fine. I like to mount mine under the fuse out to the back. and for you range question check this thread.

Used a couple metal outlet box popouts with some double sided tape on the end of the wing spar to get my lateral balance.
Thanks for the tip.
