Default Coroplast hinge broken

I have crash damage adjacent to the aileron control hinge thru the hinge line. The inge line is split for 2 inches at this point. Any suggestons how to repair such a problem? I am sure I cant remove the aileroin from between the two wing halves and dont know quite what to do. Any suggesitons appreciated.

(first spad trainer for my grandsons to learn to fly)

Shoo goo works pretty good for a while. Keep surface clean before you use.

I have had some damage from rubber bands when wing is torqued during crashes or landings (mine look the same). I use small zip ties between aileron and wing near body and problem goes away. Looks ok too

Get some 2mm and cut it to about the size of a CA hinge but a little longer.fold it in half across the flutes, and glue it in.You won't have a rubber band tear through again

What ever you choose to do as a repair at least drill a hole at the end of that split to keep it from traveling further.

Pumch a hole in both surfaces. Stick a Robart hinge point in with Goop and your good to go.

I've used vinyl adhesive with good result. Take ~1inch wide strip and apply 1/2 to control surface and 1/2 to wing, making sure to have the surface flexed to the maximal travel before application. Assuming that the surfaces are clean prior to placement, this is a very secure and easy method.

Many other methods have been described.

I Usually glue a regular hinge on top of the split. Works well. My next one I'm going to glue the hinges on to start with.
