Ive got alot of 4 mill red coro left over so I decided to build a Spadstick. After looking over the plans theres one thing I cant find. How do you make the semi circular scallop cuts on the wing edges? Cutting a bunch of semi circles by had in coro wouldnt be easy , or neat. Any ideas on this?[

Be very careful with cutting scallops in the stick. I built two - one to plans and the other blown up to a 65" wingspan. I liked the way the scallops looked so I spent the time hand cutting them into both planes (ailerons and elevators) and both flew quite nicely until they got into a dive and could not pull out. I didn't realize it at the time, but when I cut the scallops, I was taking out a good bit of the elevator's area. So . . . when it needed to pull out of the dive, there wasn't enough elevator area to do the job. I think that I am going to build another 65" job, but I am going to add enough to the elevator and ailerons to allow me to cut the scallops and still have about the same area as without the scallops.
