Default Spads really are tough

Just to demonstrate again how tough these little guys are, I had both my demons and the Pizazz out yesterday. Making a long story short, When I was cleaning up to go home I noticed the wings on Demon #2 were drooping slightly. Cleaned it up and got home where I could inspect it closer and found the main spar broken in half inside the right wing. Now I let a young man in the club fly it twice, I flew it twice, and never had one minutes problem. I am not one to be gentle with airplanes and we wrung this puppy out good and hard.
A few minutes on the building table, a little glue and a splice across the break and she's as tough as nails once again. I think God must have flown spads, cause they are tough as nails and forgiving as He is.
Bet y'all didn't catch the statement in the first sentence about the Pizazz, did you? Ok, so I flew a balsa plane too. Big Deal. It's a good plane and it's gonna be my model for a Coro Pizazz.
Anyone want to sugggest a name for it? Someone already took Spazazz.

There is nothing wrong with flying both spad and balsa. I have a heck of a lot of fun with my spads but they will never replace my hangar full of balsa planes. There is no shame, just lots of fun.

I agree, that little pizazz will do things I can only imagine with any other plane I have. I'm sure there are other planes that can do the same thing but i don't have any. I gots lots of comments yesterday about the tricks I was doing with it. It will liiterally land straight down in a 5 mph wind, takes off in about 10 feet, refuses to stall, can fly in around nearly with in spitting distance. I just don't know another plane that is this much fun. However, I still like the spads too. Got me another load of coro today from Reece Supply in Houston, $6.47 per sheet, 4 X 8 in green, yellow, and red. This is gonna be fun.

Hi Jim:
Was doing twenty foot circles about a foot off the ground with the Pizza box. got to low and did about six cartwheels and stopped upright with the engine still running. Opened the throttle and took off again. Just about P,d myself laughing.

Man, I WISH I had been there to see that. nothing in the world can be this much fun while dressed. Had that been a balsa plane you would have had to have a trash bag.
I've knocked the LG off one of my demons three times and just replaced the plastic bolts and flew it again. Broke the main spar in Demon #2 and flew it four more times before we found it. How's that for tough? I love 'em.
