Default Want to share some tricks I learned

Just a quick note and some pix of my latest SPAD. It's a stretched out QHOR with a tubular fuse. In building it, I wanted a cleaner look for the tailfeathers, so I simply drilled holes through the fuse and skewered the horizontal and vertical stabs with 5/32" aluminum tubing. The hor. stab had to be cut in half, just use the tubing to connect the halves of the elevator. Carbon would have been better, but I didn't have any 5/32", so I epoxied 1/8" carbon inside the aluminum tubing. All of the control horns are 4-40 all thread CA'd into the coro flutes. I found the plastic tabs at my LHS, they make the horns totally adjustable. Just wanted to share with everyone, since you all have been so generous! Thanks a million. By the way, my new Ultra Stick 60 with the YS 91 has been grounded since I really figured out these SPADS. Who needs balsa??

Sorry, gotta give credit to Novabill for the tailfeather mounting method. I thought I had seen that somewhere!

Glad to see you've taken off in Spad. I remember your first attempt was a little shaky, aren't you glad you tried again?
