Default Coro Ultimate Biplane

For those of you that don't make it over to SpadWorld.net often I thought I would share my latest creation. The Coro Ultimate Biplane.

Here's a few [link=http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=ultimate+spad&page=1&lv=0]videos[/link]. Part 1 is the maiden, Part 2 is the next few flights, and the G75 vid is after I replaced the sagging K&B .61 with a Super Tigre G75.....MUCH better flights with the 75...

Wow! Deja vu! I built this one 1 1/2 years ago. Flys with a Tower 75. AUW is 11 pounds. Flys OK, but after flying my Skybolt, I'm afraid she hasn't seen much airtime lately.

What did yours end up weight wise?

8 pounds....

Wingspan is 48", overall chord is 9.25"... which put my wing loading up at 41.... which I believe is why it didn't want to pull out of a flatspin yesterday and drove right into the ground..

Not the end of the world.... all I broke was the landing gear block and the firewall. I have my reservations about putting it back together though... I think I might build a profile fuse for it and try to get the weight down in the 5lb range for a .46 sized engine.
