Default My Electric SPAD

This is my current spad project. It still needs alot of work, but I wanted to hear what you all thought.

You know, you might get better flights with a battery instead of that long cord hanging off the plane there.... Just playing, looks like a cool plane, how good does it fly?

Haha, it does look like it's plugged in. I am not finsihed yet, so I don't know how it flys. As you can see in the photos the leading edge still needs to be glued down.

What size motor? Brushes or brushless? You might want to consider switching to a pusher propellor.

Speed 400 brushed. It is a pusher prop. I took all of the guts out of my old park flyer! Figured it was time to move on.

I'm guessing it's going to be heavy ( I tried something similar). You might consider swiss cheesing the 4 mil Coke sign and covering the holes with packing tape.

If that motor is a Speed 400 brushed (what it looks to be in the pics) you can probably fly up to about 20-22 ounce wing. The pusher prop you have there looks to be about 5-5.5" you will want to have the motor spinning at least 13,000 rpm to get a good push out of it.
