Default coroplast

I am having trouble finding coro in my city so Im going to order some. My question is will the coroplast be of use to me if the company scores it? I would like a piece that is 48 by 27 the box they ship to me will be 28 by 23. Wont the score dramaticlly reduce the strength ? This is going to be my first build with coro.. And I have been flying for 4 years now, this is just a winter project.
Thanks

I would think twice before ordering coro that is scored. Check into Harbor sales, I know they will ship 48 X 24. If you could use 24 instead of 27 then it is no problem getting it there.

I know I wouldn't buy it cut or scored that way. I would have no use for those dimensions. Upnflyin said it well, check Harbor Sales. spadtothebone.com has resources for helping you find your coro.

When I order coro from Harbor I have them cut 2mm 24x48--4 mm is cut 16x48--That way you can make up to 48in fuse--and 4mm RNAF wings--Make 12 in 2mm wings--Only have a little left over--

There have got to be some free sources of coro around you somewhere. Liquor stores have signs made out of this stuff all the time. Once the special is over they'll often give you the signs for free. Look up the liquor and beer "distributors" (ie wholesalers). They often have their own sign shops and will mostly give you their scraps (which are usually larger in size than what you buy from Harbor). Political ad signs are also made out of coro; same is true after the election about getting them for free.

Here is a pic of the last coro score I got from my local distributor.

If you absolutely have to buy coro, I've found the local sign company's sell the stuff. BUT, if they think you are going to be making signs out of it (ie going into competition with them), they will charge you an arm and a leg for it. SO, take a coro airplane with you to show them what you're doing with it. If you don't have one, borrow one, or at least take a picture of one off the website with you. What's a fair price to pay for 4mm sheets (4'x8'); certainly no more than $10-$12 a sheet.

Check around your area for a sign store or shop. they normally have coro. I bought a few 4ft x 8ft sheets from the signs shops around Denver.

Dont pay more than $15 for a 8ft x 4 ft peice, if they charge $25 which I found a few places that do find another sign store. I bought some from TNT Signs, Dodge Signs, and Signarama if you have any one of those close by.

Good deal for that coro. I've been using just 3/4 alluminum channle for the fuse, but for some models that wont work. if you build a plane with dehedral that could be tricky to mount the wing. Could also go for the coro fuse.

I work for a bussness that produces guinea pig cages and we are looking at making packages of corroplast to sell to Spad fliers, if you are interested what do you think would be a good size, if there is a specific size please right back and I will see what I can do so that we can get the right size corroplast for the lowest price.

Most of the planes I want to build require pvc. I do have plans that require channel also. I just need some alternatives
