Default Cleaning coroplast signs

I recently came across some rather large 4mm campaign signs ( 48" X 72" ) that I plan to use on my next plane. I have always used coro from Harbor sales with no bonding problems using CA. I had always thought that the campaign signs used sign vinyl over the standard coro. Upon examination of the signs, it seems that the material is somehow bonded to the coro and cannot be simply peeled off before using.

Does anyone have any experience building with this sign material?

Just spray paint over the signed side and go fly!

Campaign signs are made way too cheap for vinyl, they are usually screen printed but i never tried to remove it, if one side is clean just use that facing out.

If you have a Kinkos nearby, just call and ask them what method they use to make their Coroplast signs, and what "paint" they use. Maybe they'll even tell you what the solvent is for it.

acetone, but just use the pattern to your advantage or fold it to the inside and only clean the seams.

I tried turpentine and it didn't work.. Then I tried glow fuel and the paint came right off.. It may have been the alchohol in the fuel that did the trick.. I'll try a can of denatured alchohol from OSH and see what hapens.. More later..

The glow fuel did not work for me. Besides, at today's prices, the fuel should only be used in the engine.

I had some success with gasket remover, the paint lifts off in less than a minute. Do it outside though.

After the recent elections I was hunting corplast matterial and found many signs are now plastic film on wire frames (sleeves). I bet these are cheaper. The coroplast signs may be a thing of the past for candidates - they don't have to last too long.

Cheap carb cleaner from Wal-Mart. Spray it on and when it begins to lift just wipe it off. Some colors come off easier than others.
