Default Check this large SPAD out...

Take a look at this SPAD that a mate of mine has just built. He originally tried a 61 on it but although it took off there just wasnt enough power there.
He then brought a new OS 90 which gives it plenty of grunt. It has a wing span of 2 metres which makes it easy to see. He had a minor crash the other day because the servos he used were not strong enough and have stripped the gears in them. He has since ordered some new servos and repaired the damage so it should be back up flying again this weekend.

Troy.

Understood.
I spent the WHOLE three-day weekend from dawn to dusk working on a .40 size semi-scale Cessna 180 -- all corro except for the yardstick spar and ply firewall. Not done yet, but it's startin' to look like an airplane.
Your mate's plane is impressive. I think I'd be tempted to cover the fuse with 2-mil, but even without it, it's not near as ugly as most SPADs.

Default NICE

Great Plane

I would use colored shrink wrap to cover it you have a nice frame that would keep the oil out.
lets get some video.

you could turn her in to a gasser, later.

Hmmmmm....

8' chord? 32' span? Lessee, that'd be 8 sheets for the wing...
36" square PVC pipe for the fuse?...

TailDraggin,

I'd like to see some pictures of that Cessna if you have any? I would like to have a go at building a spad cessna myself.

Troy.

You know I wonder the same thing from time to time. Maybe LVSPark woke up one morning and realized that he wanted to keep his body intact after all!!!
