I have had this plane about 10 months. I have reported on it previously but could not find my previous posts at this time. The search function here seems to have a problem, but it could be on my end I suppose. Anyway, I have had a fuel starving problem from day one. It took me a while to realize that my swept wing design put the main fuel tank substantially further away from the engine than my previous straight wing design, plans for which are posted on RCUnivers. A few days ago I moved the main fuel tank toward the engine by just over 3 inches by cutting into the LE of the wing till I hit the spar. Now both fuel tanks have their outlets facing in the direction of flight. In about 20 flights I have not noticed any fuel problem. I had also been struggling with a cyclic righ/left roll when using the elevator in a turn, and during landing. I had actually accepted this Dutch Roll type of problem and was mearly dealing with it. Recently I decided to look into it further. It started as soon as I applied elevator and worsend in proportion to the amount of elevator deflection. I concluded that the elevator, mounted on the front wing (Canard wing) was sending turbulated air to the main wing. I cut off the outer corners of the elevator at a 45 degree angle and made a test flight. You can see this change on the attached photos. I have never seen such a minor change have such a dramatic effect on performance. But I still had a slight wing rock, so I decided to look into reducing the load on the front wing to reduce the severity of air turbulance. I took it up and did a knife edge to see if the CG could be moved back a little. I concluded that the CG could move back, so I move one of the the two batteries back about 3 inches. Now the "Dutch Roll" seems to be about 99.5% gone. It flys steady as a rock!

I had the same wing rock with mine. I tried larger vertical fins and rudders but that didn't help.
2 minutes with a knife and all of the rocking is gone.

My wife has a pair of heavy duty kitchen scissors for that exact job. If you still see a little waving, move the CG back a little, if you are certain you still have some reserve. For some reason SPADDERS seem to stay away from the Canard. I don't know why. Do you have any ideas? Some glowing flight reports from you and others may be all that is needed. I have always had a feeling that others are afraid they may lose flight orientation because it seems to be flying backwards. I have maybe over 500 flights with mine and NOT ONCE have I had an orientation problem. Besides, I'm 73 years old. If I can do it you know it cannot be difficult. Lets see your glowing flight report, and the same from others.

To further reduce the wing rocking I have had with my Swept Wing Canard I trimmed the elevator outer corners a little more and then sealed off the canard wing ends with a piece of 2MM Coroplast and some glue. Had it up yesterday for testing and some in-flight photos. The wind was brutal. I wanted some photos while in knife edge but the gusting winds prevented me from getting as close as I wanted. I screwed up one of the landings but as usual, no damage. I think that my wing-end mounted vertical stabilizers, by extending down bellow the wing, are serving as bumpers to keep the main wing ends from digging in and causing horrible things during a bad landing. That was not my intend when I designed the plane, but I will gladly accept this freebie
