TA-152 foam build
Well Iunearthed an old post with the same theme but the user dimadee is not reachable, so here is a question for all.
I wanted to build a TA-152 foam plane (with proper fuselage and wings.. not profile plane) to be used with a .19 engine. can any body give me deatils like wingspan ( i am guessing 50" ) length, ideal weight, what foam is to be used and how do i construct the wing and insert wood/plastic ribs to make it rigid and strong? thanks, cosmo P.S:i will be useing 4 x 325HB servos nad ar600 receiver |
RE: TA-152 foam build
Are You going to cut the foam Yourself using a hot wire set up? I made one of these wire setups using a dimmer switch and piano wire strung between wooden dowels and it worked excellent. I had gotten the info on the construction of it from one of the members on this forum years ago so if You can't locate the plans let me know and I'll do My best to show You how. Dan

RE: TA-152 foam build
Do a google search on foam wing cutting. There is a lot available there. If that isnt enough my son sells a video I did on cutting foam thru his website (you will come across it when you view the 8 minute segment posted for free). It isnt difficult but will take some practice. How much experience do you have with RC and model building in general?

RE: TA-152 foam build
Oh! thanks, I have built a few spads , and did foam carving in architecture classes. I got a foam cutting rig made for me since my last post, but thanks for helping.
