Spad

Is SPAD dead? Don't see much of it anymore... I'm ready to build one, how about you guys!

I still fly SPADs. Lately, I've been flying the battery powered Tough Jets, but still occasionally fly my SPADFlyers with an OS .46. I'm not sure what's going on with the lack of interest lately. What's not to like about tough and cheap RC planes? Thanks; Ernie P.

I haven’t been on the forums in a good while now. I’m in the process of moving so RC activity is at a standstill. I do like SPAD’S. I have half a dozen coroplast sheets I need to move. Someday I’ll build another.

Here are 2 pictures. The crashed one was my re entry to RC after decades away. Good TO, 3 good turns and lost on the 4th turn. Throttle screw came loose. I salvaged the tail and accessories. The next plane was my rebuild. It is still airworthy. I extended the fuselage and changed from rubber bands to screw wing mount. It is in a little rougher looking condition now. Fun to fly.
