Jeeze you SPAD people are gonna make me pull my hair out..lol. JK. What in God's name is CA? I just went and bought everything I need to make my own SPAD(except the darn guttering which I can't find) except the glue secretly called CA. Can someone fill a newbie SPAD builder in?

CyanoAcrylate. Superglue that adheres very quickly to a surface. It shouldn't be hard to find. If no hooby shop is around you could probably find it at the closest gasstation or wal-mart or such.

if the hobby shop doesn't have it...... suggest to them to get into the 21st century...... or find another one.

Commonly known as ZAP!!! Though you can find other brands that may be cheaper. Also try looking for the Handibond CA, thats supposed to be better with coro

You can also substitute in regular super glue but it would be much more expensive
Regular Supa glue .14 oz $1
CA from hobby shop 2 oz $7
Glueing your hands together first time priceless!

....dumb schmuck, I thought the same when I used to fly arf's. Then I started scratch building and the ca stories started. I am sure every real plane builder has many experiences, after building 52 planes I sure do!

I have learned that a foot/heel scraping stone works well to get dry ca off my hands

after a long gluing session, and my fingers are all hard from the Ca, I just take a shower. the water starts getting underneath, and I can begin to peel it off.

I think someone should move this thread to the RC humor column, I would love hear more experiences from more people.
Like showering and forgetting ca on your hands and washing the delicates...pain!
