Sorry I missed you Glen. I got out to the field at about 12:30, just in time to meet the guys arriving from Prescott. A few of them got in some test flights. No wind until after 4. Looks like it should be a perfect day for racing tomorrow. So far we have 12 entries in Bronze, 8 in Silver and 7 in Gold.

It was really great having you and the others from Utah. We had a really good turn out and the racing was fast as furious as usual. I can't wait for your race next month in St George. Sorry about the delays during the day, we had quite a few new workers who got confused. It will be better in September.

Had a great time. Good to see everyone again. Wish I had flown better and my Gold plane didn't have problems , but I still have two plans for next month. See everyone at St. George.

The answer is this. I had the bright idea of opening the snackbar a little early so the pilots and spectators could get their food so the course workers would not have to stand in a long line to get theirs when we took the break. Unfortunately, some of the workers felt there would not be any food left for them so they decided to get up during the race and go get themselves some food, one at a time of course. Each time, this left the pilots standing at the starting stands with a puzzled look on their faces as we waited for the worker to get back in his seat. It took over two hours to complete the first round.

I would like to assure everyone that this will never happen again at one of my races, even if I have to hire the workers.

Even though i wasnt there I'm sure I speak for everyone involved that we are , as always, grateful for the workers who volunteer their time. Its all good Terry. You guys always do a great job. In fact the USRA Race I do in Oct has had the best turn callers in a decade. The comments spoken over pylon #2 and your local groups work at pylon # 1 was " best we've seen in years. "

Wish I couldve made it but had a church youth outing fri nite and it was just too much to drive that night.
Looks like some great racing in silver and what a turn out in gold. You must be doing something right there!!!


Looking forward to Utah's race and seeing everyone again.
