Ollie, I have no idea what it was but it bid appear to be some sort of fiber type material. I could hardly blow through the line. The Macchi was designed to be easy to work on. The tank is held in place with a single Velcro strap. As far as the wing patch, it helps to speed things up when you are starting with 100 degree resin and then are able to put the part in direct sunlight. I was able to pull the bag off in a little over an hour.

Well it was a long day but worth it! I missed my racing family and we saw some great racing. Sorry I didn't stay for the awards. I was worn out, beat and exhausted. We ran over 47 races and I announced 40 of them! Thanks pilot's for the fun. Thank you Ollie for your work! Also thank you to the rest of the workers. We had a couple of issues but pulled through in the end! See ya in September

As usual I had a blast. I always enjoy hanging out with the gang. Good to see some guys coming in from afar. It was great meeting up with David Lloyd. We also had our district AMA district VP with us for the day Lawrence Tougas. I obviously got caught up in the competition during the A main and went a tad too fast along with everyone else LOL. Trashman Classic is next, see everyone there.

Yes, Jake.
I don't know about video, but Greg took pictures. But I kinda dropped the ball in that I've been too busy with work moving schools and with other conflicts to arrange to get them from him, yet. Now that it is the weekend, and I have a little time for myself again, my goal is to contact him during the day Saturday, and arrange to get them. After I have them in hand, I will upload them, and post a link for everyone.
My humblest apologies for the delay, gentlemen.

Jake,
I forgot for a moment about the video that Donnie took from his FPV. I'll try to get ahold of him and see how it came out, and if he can post some of it.
Talked to Greg today, and he does have a little video from a tripod mounted GoPro. He said it was stationary, so no zooming in and out. (In my experience, a full pan out just looks like small black nearly indistinguishable dots zipping around the sky.) He is still processing the pictures, and has yet to get to the video, so he is unsure of the video's quality, yet. He said it was one of the last Gold races of the day. With the smoke/haze we had from the nearby wildfires, likely impacting the quality even more, we'll see if the video is worth posting.
When the pictures are ready, we'll meet up (likely tomorrow), and I will post them online for everyone to enjoy.

I want to take this time to thank Greg, Donnie, and ALL my workers for their time and selfless efforts to help us put on this race!
Without all of you and your contributions, we wouldn't have nearly the level of success or enjoyment of this incredible aspect of our hobby. We pilots can't thank you enough!
A special thanks to Kimo and Christina for jumping-in helping out when the going got tough for me. You saved me -- Thanks!
