Licking My Race Wounds.
Well I survived the Valley of Speed Race, but not without my silver plane sustaining some injuries. Decided to post some videos on the rebuild of the tail.
Here it is so far. If anyone else has any pics/videos on a fix or rebuild, let us see what you got going on.

Thanks Tim. Just trying to get this back together ASAP since school is almost back in session and then my build time gets greatly reduced.

Well done, Jake!
Assuming my observation from the video is correct, and it is not already too late, my only recommendation would be to try to add another hinge on each elevator half. It appeared to me that there were only two on each side. If one comes loose, then at our speeds it would be flapping in the airstream and would quickly cause- and succumb to- flutter. As we tend to push the envelope in this application, I'm a fan of incorporating some redundancy. (Of course, this is a "what if?" scenario, and I am accused by some of over-building. So just my two cents, for what they are worth. Take 'em, or leave 'em.)
It has been rare, but their have been times I've had to run to Michaels for wood, beings RC Country is closed on Sundays; so appreciate the tip.

I followed your advice Ollie. Three hinges it is.
Glad you like the vids Steve. You and Ollie need to get some YS motor maintenence videos going.
Final video of completed repair.
