Oakdale, CA August 22/23 2 Pole and 3 Pole Race Results
Hi everyone,
We had a great weekend. Enough wind to keep it from being too hot and some really good racing and the usual beautiful venue at Oakdale.
Thanks to the club, the CD Dan Peterson and all the workers/flyers that helped to make this two smooth days of racing....going to miss some names and only know some first names but here goes...thanks to:
Larry( Club Pres.), Steve (Club VP), Steve (Club Secretary), Ken, Kelly, Richard Belden, Frannie Morasci, Scott Morasci for pylon judging.
Josh Killebrew, Jacob McDonald, Tony McDonald, Wylie Walters, Chris Nenzel for putting up the poles and putting together the takeoff pad for 3 pole. Bit of pain to go together but it seemed to work real well.
Benjamin on the PA system keeping everyone informed and the line moving.
Sandra for registration and judging and being the greatest wife a pylon racer could hope for.
Interesting to see on the shorter 2 pole course (475') the Ef1 were faster than the T-34's and .46 warbirds.
Chris posted some nice pictures and videos in the High Performance section.
Many battles remain for both the 2 pole season championship (Morgan Hill, Oct. 3rd will be final race) and the 3 pole NorCal point championship (Woodland/Davis, Sept. 12/13 will be final race)
Season total are below/attached as well.
