Default I fly my record today: 139MPH

Today I fly TWM spitfire with YS115WS. I installed FUTABA GPS sensor, and the max speed is 139MPH (222KM).

My config:
Airplane: World model Spitfire-40
Engine: YS FZ115WS
Propeller: APC 14*12
Fuel: YS 20%
Grand RPM: 9340 (I adjust needle valve a bitter rich)
Servo: FUTABA 3003 *5

When flying, I just fly rectangle air line, and not attempt to dive from high attitude. Finally I got this speed: 139MPH!

I am very satisfied with this engine's sound and performance, and very amazing experience to run YS engine in sky!

If we hope to achieve 160MPH speed, what's the advice for me?

Thanks!

APC 13.5x13.5 and 50% - 60% nitro.

Using 50% - 60% how do plugs hold up, do you just run the engine a bit rich?

on 60% the plugs hold up very well. I have flown whole years flying/racing on one plug. Now if you get it lean then the plug will not last long.

Thanks, Airraptor! Now I used YS 20% Nitro fuel for my YS115WS, if I follow your advice to use 60% Nitro, which the fuel brand you recommend to me?

Another question, if use 60% Nitro, is it harmful to engine's life? Or any special care for engine?

Take it a step at a time. Mix up some 40% nitro, 21% synthetic fuel and try that. Work up on your nitro slowly from there as you get comfortable tuning it and propping it.

Yes I agree with pylonracr, take your time. the higher the nitro the less tolerant the engine or any engine is on a lean run. Almost everyone runs 20% all synthetic oil. Power master or fuel from Rich's Brew are great. you can still go pretty fast on 45% nitro and be rich with it. Run a 14x13N APC prop up 40% nitro and then a 14x13 standard on 45% to 60% a APC 13.5x13.5 on 60% will get you moving right along.
