Update: Eliminator Test & Tune & Coaching
We are looking forward to our upcoming Eliminator Race on July 10th. As an update, will have confirm that “In N Out” will be there. Also we have ordered a 40’ tent with a swamp cooler for the spectators. (we have some chairs, but I would bring a chair just in case)
If you would like to try flying the course and see if racing is for you; then you are welcome to join us the Friday (July 9th) before the race, as we setup. This will afford you the opportunity to test fly, practice and gain some training.

Wrap-up Report for Eliminator Race 7-10-21
We want to thank everyone for attending the first ever Eliminator Race. We had a total of 33 entries. The event kicked off on time at 8:30am with most heats taking about 8mins to complete. We completed 2 rounds before our early lunch, 11:30am. All enjoy their Double-Doubles from the In-N-Out truck. Also, we have some 50 or so spectators that enjoyed lunch too. The 3rd round of qualifying consisted of all those that were not qualified for Eliminations. After 3 rounds of “Qualifying” we had 8 airplanes in Gold, 4 in Silver and 8 in Run What You Brought. In the end, David Lloyd won the Gold class and Gerald Meux won both Silver and Run What You Brought. Photos of the race will be online soon.
Lessons learn from our first race. We did fine a glitch in the software that needed to be fixed. Also, we had a failure in the USB hub that the timer buttons connect to. However, we quickly found work arounds for these problems. We also noted that the TV used for lap counting was hard to see. With that said, the software has already been fixed and updated. We ordered a new outdoor TV that is brighter and replaced the USB hub with a better one. In addition, our pylon judges, timers and race controller all gain mush needed experience and are preparing for the next race. Many of our new racers are already looking for ways to up their game. They been asking about airplane, motor and prop combinations to build for the next race. In addition, they stated that they have other friends and club members that will be coming to the next race.
Our next race will be on August 14th. We are looking forward to having you there. Sadly, we will not have the In-N-Out truck, they were already booked for another event. Details on the next race will be coming soon. In the meantime, we recommend that you pre-register for the race in August. This will help greatly in the planning of the event.
