MI8 scale model
Hi all
I recently injured myself when the MI8 I was in crashed in Pakistan. We ditched in shallow water when one of the turbines failed about 15m above a building we were dropping food on.
I thought it might be therapeutic to make a scale model of the helicopter (the flying version - not the crashed one!).
Does anyone make a scale MI8? Or recommend a chassis I could use as a platform to build on? My preference would be for electric rather than nitro...
Cheers
Andy

RE: MI8 scale model
Hi Andy,
as a survivor of a "hard landing" I am glad to see you are okay after your experience.
I only know of one RC MI-8 and there is video of it on youtube. It was scratch built by Matthias Strupf of Germany and it is 1/8th scale.
Vario and Thunder Tiger have fuselages of Russian helicopters with Thunder Tiger selling a very nice MI-24 Hind and Vario sells the MI-2.
A lot of talented folks scratch build their own fuselages so it depends on your skills.
Good luck with your search.
