Here are some pictures of the Bell 222 at the Royal Johor Polo Field, Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The bell 222 was delivered to owner Alfa13 and test-flown by Chief Test Pilot Sifu Raymond, Johor Radio Pilot Club, Soul of J.R.P. !

It has been a long 3 months, I'm just very glad she flew well and delivered safely to Alfa13's hangar.

all I can say is..........WOW!!! Steven, that truely is a masterpiece and I for one am glad to have been fortunate enough to have watched the build process to completion. That maiden video was really something to watch also. The music was just great and the nav lights going off when the wheels retracted.....wheeeeeeeee! I am smiling right now and must also admit that i am jealous, that really is a prize trophy and worthy of the place of honor in any trophy case.
Well done and Thank You so much for sharing that experience with us!

Thanks Gary, Alfa13, I'm just very glad that Sifu Raymond was there to help out, Thanks Sifu Raymond!!!

This heli's outline is just so beautiful and scale!

If anyone is in transit thru Singapore and wants to purhase this heli kit, it is available at Singapore Hobby Supplies, Fook Hai building. Look for Ronald or Frederic or Jeffrey.

Their website is www.singahobby.com.sg

I just thought i mentioned it just in case some of you overseas flyers would want this or other Hirobo scale helis. Cheers All!

Steven, talking about Singapore, I just received an Augusta A109 Funkey fuse from Rotor Hobbies, I am not as talented as you so I got the pre painted one, I have to say it's beautiful, especially for a commercially produced one. It's going into a trex 600CF. Can you help me on this one, I have a lighting set from the US but am not too sure where lighting goes on a full size heli?

I have two red one's which I think go just behind the main rotor head and under the rear tail boom. I also have a white strobe. Do full size have a strobe on the top or bottom of the tail fin do you know? Nav & landing lights I am ok with.

Regards,

Gary

Hi Gary,

I ran into the same problem. It appears there are variations concerning the anti collisions strobes Here is a quote from an American operator. "The anti collision's strobe is located in the center of the belly underneath the front seats. I have also seen them with two strobes one on top of the doghouse centered. Lense color is either clear or red. Ours are clear for a Department of the Interior".

I have the German regs, which I don't think will help you, somewere but I haven't got round to reading them yet.

Hope this will be of some help to you.

Regards.

Karl.

Thanks Karl for helping Gary out on that one.

Gary, very nice A109 you got there! Do look at this airliner.net site below, there're tons of A109 real heli pictures, i'm sure you'll find one with the right lightings, as Karl mentioned, not all lights are in the same places on even the same model helis. Happy hunting!

Wow! Thanks Steven, I hadn't found that site. Looks like you can stick lights more or less where you like, every one seems to be different. Bit of "artistic licence" methinks!

That's right Gary, up to your artistic license to make your heli look cool, enjoy it, there are tons of pictures there!

I always go to www.airliners.net for these pictures, just do a search over there and BINGO you get lots of nice pictures for detailing work.
