Thanks Guy,

It's a shame they don't offer pilots with their kits. I will try that web site.

Yes I have tried, but they are too big and I really don't want to cut them in half to get them in there.

3dking,

Where did you find the on board starter? I am building a Hirobo Cobra and cannot find any info on the starter. Its not even listed in my manual.

Any info would be appreciated!

You can get the hirobo auto starter from couple of websites
www.ehirobo.com
www.rchover.com

just type in the web search (hirobo auto start) and yo will find it

i used it in my hirobo golden cobra

but after i couple of flight i decided to converted into free smoke heli...so, im now in the process, i bouught already the conversion kit for it along with the bruchless motor and its ESC

Im sure it will be such a nice change

i started to get really board from pumping fuel, cleaning after each flight.

Sub Sinker,

You can go straight thru Modelrec.COM and talk to Peggy. 1-732-225-2100. I paid around $400.00 for everything plus you 're gonna need a seperate Lipo for the motor.

Well depending on the scale, I went this route. Cant find a better "Real" Looking pilot than the good ol' Ken Doll. My daughter Donated it for the project.

This is a 40 Size plane, Youll have the whole body to work with as well then cut to fit the rest. Comes with actual clothes. I made the head gear.

If you want a pilot with the Head Gear / Helmet - Go here - http://www.advantagehobby.com/produc...cat=695&page=2

You can get them full body size, Pilot figures etc, But they Cost alot. an still dont have real hair.
See here..http://www.advantagehobby.com/produc...cat=695&page=1

These are just for reference, as I dont know what the flight gear looks like for those pilots.
no personal experience with that company either myself.

Not too bad of a price on the 1st one. But seeing how that is a beauty of a heli and you can see the majority of the cockpit. Go with more than just a Bust cut.

Forgive the image as I did not have a Digital camera at the time so I just took a photo of an old photo just now...I need a scanner.

Hope it helps Some, Jeff

Guys,
I just got the pilot from Century. Terrible casting and I am not positive it will even clean up enough to work for my Cobra. One thing in particular is the arms are already glued to the shoulders with the wrists at his side at about his waist. Not only that, their is a huge blob of epoxy in between his arm and torso... I would not recommend them esp. when you consider the price. However, on the bright side, the scale looks about right (1/7th)

I've been all over the internet and can't find anything worth putting in the cockpit. I think I'm just going to glue the canopy on and leave the seats empty.[]

3D,

Why not make the canopy removeable in the event you wish to work on it or the off chance you find suitable pilots? I am also looking for the same so if I run across anything that would work I will send you an e-mail. I actually work somewhat close to you ( in Lisle ) so we are not all that far apart.

Stupid question but have you tried Als in Elmhurst?? They have about everything else, maybe Cindy can hook you up with something.

DrUAE,

Where does one find an e-powered conversion kit? I've got the EC-120 and like to go e-power. Thanks for the info!

Free Bird,

I just ordered a motor mount from a company DrUAE recommended. Here is their website: http://www.world-of-heli.de/en/ click on the link that says "heli kits" then when a new page opens click on the link that says "elektro conversion kits" For a motor mount and pinion it will run around $100.00

Hey guys,

Just checked out the site 4 the pilots. I think I will order through them. I also repainted my Tow-Cobra. I almost lost it in the trees, so I needed to go lighter. Here's a picture. I used automotive paint and I airbrushed the Camo with automotive paint. I can really see it now.

Well, It depends on which fuselage brand you got, if you have Hirobo EC 120, then go to www.world-of-heli.de/en/index.html they have almost all of the E-conversion kits for Hirobo Scale nitro helis. I have bought from them already two conversion kits, for my Hirobo Super Cobra and Dauphin 2. They are great and they Have a very good power pack for these scale including Brushless motor and ESC. Have a look at the site
