Looking Good man,

I never told anyone this,

I was held under water as a baby. When the bubbles stopped, I was lifter from the water, remove the water, carry the water, letting the days go by.

This has caused me to go off the deep end in almost every way.

I am thinking you should make the trip next year to the NAT,s and IRCHA. I know its a haul, but how cool would it be to see two of these great machines together.

My bird will be kind of plain compared to yours with the "Bling" paint job. Admiral Blue is a bit, dull. I have to make up somewhere, right?

Hey, forgot to ask you how you were going to treat the insides of the doors. Molded something?

Oh and are you creating an overhead console or should I form a piece of plywood for that?

I do plan to put the dressing on the inside of the doors and the overhead as well. I do have some blanks made for the overhead switch panels and the throttle quadrant but have yet to complete them. I will make molds when done.

After some adjustments here and there, the cockpit mock-up is complete. Having the full scale to measure as reference makes the job a bit more easy however it does make the job a bit more arduous at the same time. The Scale Jet fuse is a piece of art, there is no question. Getting all the parts to look correct and in harmony, has been fun. I question weather having the full scale for reference is a blessing, or a curse.

Here are a few pics of the cockpit major assemblies complete. The finishing attachments such as cyclic and collective sticks and a few other "secret squirrel" items will come later.

i'm going with curse. in your mind you just can't cheat on the detail. [:o]

jmann,

Very true. It is a curse for sure. The hard part, trying to figure where to take that mm or add this mm and keep it as true to scale as possible. I think I got it on this one though.

Fuse in in the paint room getting primer today. Hope for paint this weekend. I will be soooo glad when it has color on it that for sure.

Looks really good with very little to address after primed. I will give it a finish sanding, fit all the windows then it off for paint.

Butch,

You have done a great job on this heli and added some very nice detail. I really like the 4 blade head you have, in one of your posts you mentioned it is a Peka head. Could you point me in the right direction so I can pick one up? It would be a great addition to a turbine NH-90 build I am trying to complete.

Great job!

Alec,

Thanks for the comments. Its be a lot of work but it is coming together nicely.

I sent you an e-mail about the head. Its a piece of art and you will not be disappointed.

Alec,

Thanks.

I know its mine, but the photos do not do this thing justice.

Yes. I need to make sure everything is all back in working order, get some more hover time and move on from there. Its been apart for about 4 months for paint so its baby steps, well sorts, again.

Butch
