I know it isnt very important, but the medivac UH-1 Hueys with machine guns is wrong. If the heli sported the red cross, it was unarmed. Medical choppers were unarmed. BTW these are some nice looking Hueys

It may be right actually, depending on which heli it is modeled on. From my reading the Air Ambulance Platoon of the 1st Cavalry installed M60s on suspended mounts before moving to fixed mounts and adding a 5th crew member as gunner on their ships. And that is a 1st Cavalry emblem on the nose...

I was in the Cav, 6th Cav stationed at Ft. Hood, 1st Cav units was also there. If it was a medical heli it usually may have had a gun escort but dont think they were armed themselves. You'd be hard press to find one armed.

On page 85 (about 3/4 of the way down) they state what i said, but i have also read it elsewhere. Here in [link=http://books.google.com/books?id=P-C6dCXJ4zgC&lpg=PA87&ots=s2ctEtallV&dq=Vietnam%20ch oppers%3A%20helicopters%20in%20battle%201950-75&pg=PA146#v=onepage&q=&f=false]Vietnam Choppers[/link], on page 146 (about 1/2 of the way down) they also mention Air Ambulance Platoon of 1st Cav being the only ones to arm their birds with M60s. In the first 2 sentences of the [link=http://www.vietnamdustoff.com/dustoffunits.html]Vietnam Dustoff Association[/link] website they also state that.

I haven't found any pictures, but with the Geneva Convention and all i don't think they would like to advertise the fact they armed helis with the red cross on them...

Looks like a very nice kit, the pictures and video really make it, especially with the smoke!  Are the kits available in the states anywhere or only available direct?  Next time I'm in Phuket I'll make it a point to stop by.
