I started on some of the pieces that were ready to see what the colors looked like. The main fus. still needs a lot of sanding and rivets so it's going to be awhile before I start painting it.Blue\White on the bottom and Med.\Blue on the top with strips going into the blue and then a clear coat. I know not very different but it is my first build.

I've seen projects that pales in comparison to yours with numerous input, mind boggling???? Your building skills are very evident, very impressive work, please continue posting.

Charles,

I'm am totally awed at your workmanship, very inspiring to say the least. I started at the beginning of your thread over at the E-sky forum. I've watched all the videos posted and viewed each and every picture. You are quite the person of patience and details, there's no question of that. I'll be back for more. I'm going to pass the word to a few friends that I know would be interested in this wonderful build your doing.

I did think about counting them but I just didn't feel like doing it yet. I got the white base down but it's getting cold here so I don't know when I will able to paint.

Still cold here so I went to the LHS and pickup a few goodies diamond plate for the cockpit floor from Plastruct , some clear styrene to try to bend for my windows and some masking tape 6mm and 1/8th Sweet. Some pics.I don't know if real helis have diamond plate floors and nonskid mats but they should. hehe

I am new to the site and just got a bell 222 given to me, it needs alot of work and honestly Idon't know anything about these and not sure where to start, but Icouldn't help but post on your thread.

Anyway, Idon't mean to repeat anything that has already been said but you truly are an artist!!! Very inspiring work!!!

37 degrees to cold to paint. Working on the mechanics. Do you guys use the clips that come with the Gold-n-Rod Control Rods? Seem to me it would be better to us balls instead they seem to work alright. I also replaced the main gear with the Micro Heli Delrin main gear it's sweet compared to the E-Smart. Hello Charles,

I don't want to hijack your thread here, but this is a picture of what Ihave. I am not sure of exactly what it is yet. It was given to my wife from a friend of hers who just went through a divorce and was getting rid of alot of her ex husbands stuff. Ihave always been interested in rc helicopters but never really had an opportunity to get into them. Any info you can tell me would be truly appreciated! Itook a look at it again this evening and everything seems to be there, engine, gyro, etc, it has lights and retractable landing gear.

OK so I couldn't sit around and do nothing so I used a space heater and lights to heat the room enough to paint the cockpit and it looks Sweet already pics. And yes I did turn the heat off while I sprayed hehe

I measured one of the blades it was 26" (660mm), I was assuming yours was the same size. No Charles, Ihave never flown rc helicopters, Ihave flown a few helicopters on PS3 if that counts. lol Iam not assuming it's an easy thing to do but Ihave always wanted to get in to the hobby,have been modeling for years. I would like to get this one in flying condition, Ifigured while Iwas working on this one I could get a starter copter to practice with.
