Out of all the Rc's I have the best ones are Schumacher Rc's.
Number 1 in Quality and Performance. When you own a Schumacher you own something special.

As far as durability and power go, how are they? Can you tie a shoe maker to your Cenchain GST and out pull it? LOL
BTW, when are you going to do your Cenchain vs gasser pull again? Of if anything, I would like to see one of your shoe makers try to pull a gasser ! (J/K!)

Ha there not for tug ah wars. [:-] but as far as durbility Schumachers can take alot of punishment and even more when you add alloys.
If you ever had a schumacher you'd know especially if you had alot of Rc's. I think Schumacher sets itself apart from other Rc's when it comes to quality. The grade of material is a cut above and everything is professional spec. I like how they added torx screws to the chassis, I like the thickness of the chassis, my downtime repairing them is less than other rc's, and so many other reasons why I like Schumacher. Think of them as the Mercedes or BMW of Rc's they lasy a long time.

Does Shoemaker make their own RCs or are they resellers (buy from a chinese RC factory and rebadges them with their own brand stickers)? I know the Raptor, an 8th scale that Shumacher sells is such an RC, Shumacher buys from Nanda (the Nanda Raptor), but Shumacher puts their own badges on it and sells it as teh Shumacher Raptor. As a matter of fact, Exceed also buys from Nanda, but Exceed changed the name of this clone RC to Mad Beast.
I only ask because I know very little about Shumacher; I have only seen an on-road on in real-life, and I had absolutely no idea where to get parts to fix one.

Schumacher is one of the oldest R/C companies out there, this year is our 30th year in the radio controlled market. Schumacher has always designed, and carried their own vehicles.
We have carried some "OEM" vehicles over the years but we have never claimed them as our own, we've always had our own line of vehicles.
In the UK, your right the Raptor, and the 8th buggy were both OEM's, but as for the Fusion, Menace line, Havoc, Cat's, Riot, Rascal and Mi3.5 those are all in house designs, as well as the new things were working on for 2009.
As for parts if your in the states you can go to Stormer Hobbies, A Main Hobbies, Speedtech RC, and also your hobby shop of choice and just ask for it, I set new dealers up daily and it doesn't take anything for your LHS to become a dealer.

the fusion is a great car to play around with and drag race but i must say i had nothing but h3ll with the menace. There was this on going break problem and it would never shift to 3rd.. i got rid of it for cheap about a few years ago and never looked back. I do however would like to drive my fusion again that has been converted to take .21-.28 bumpstarts.

I hate to say this but you need to buy a Mugen or X-Ray full race kit and check the quality there
these things are toys compared to the 2 I mentioned

Well the Mugen and X-Ray are good too. There's lots of high quality rc's out there. Schumacher I've just had real good luck with long term.

How many Menaces do you own? I counted at least five in that picture.
I have one and I love it. It was my first nitro. I had to rebuild it a few weeks ago after hitting a cement post doing 55.

I have so many Menaces I dont even know how many when it comes to numbers not accounting the ones that are in pieces in boxes that can make many Menaces. Like the Xtr's I think might have a little more than twice the Menaces than XtR's

i have an original (mostly) schumacher cat xl that i bought in 1987. it won many races through the years as it was usually the only car in the race that didn't break. and the driveline was so efficient that i could run a 15t to the others 12t's. in about 2005 i decided to up grade the chassis. i grafted losi xx4 suspension on it and it ran with the modern 4wd's. it still has the original body, and somehow it survived. i still have all the original suspension for the car and spares, though i don't have anymore plastic belts for it as they are old and wouldn't put up with brushless and lipo nowadays.
