stripped 1st gear fusion 28

my schumacher fiusion 28 is about a month old, been used about 4 times after run in.
my first gear is stripped completely.
has anyone had thios happen to them before????
any one have any idea why??

The most common reason would be bad gear alignment, either the gears were not aligned correctly or the engine mount has come loose.
Other causes could be; bent layshaft (shaft holding the 3 plastic gears), worn bearings (clutch bell bearings, first gear and layshaft bearings), layshaft housing worn or maybe a piece of grit was trapped between the gears.
Firstly replace the gears (they come as a set), then check and double check the gear alignment. Personally I line the gears up by feeling the play on each gear but alternatively you can use stips of paper between the gears and then gently push the engine mounts so that the paper is trapped then tighten the mounts. After your happy that the alignment is correct just rotate the gear train for a few revs. then check again.
Once thats done check for excessive free play that will allow the gears to go too far out of mesh.
