Default 2012 Canard Projects

I have three canard projects in mind. Amazing Grace (picture 1) was a slope soarer I am building to have an OS 46. My Shiden (next picture) has about about a year of work into it. I am going to put an OS .55 in that project. Amazing grace should fly about May, and the Shinden Early 2013. The third is still in plan form. I don't know when I will get to it, but Im excited.

Upload your new 2012 projects!!! (why dont we have a canard forum???)

I built the canard a few years ago. This year it's a 50cc pusher. Dan.

I think a canard forum would be great..i flew a few and had at one time designed a ducted fan canard . loved the Telos by jared..been thinking of doing one to use as a camera ship for obvious reasons got plans for the rutan birds. was going to change the shape to be able to handle rough field use..the terrain I fly from is rough.. i'll get some stuff together and keep checking this thread.....guamflyer

Hey guys , I am a longtime modeler who migrated to full scale experimental. Here is a full scale exp canard I designed would make a nice scale nodel , real one flies beautifully!

Hi canardjeff
I have always wondered about the safety of full scale Canards. Are they as safe as comparable full scale conventional planes? Are there advantages to a Canard full scale plane? I flew a model Canard of my own design for about 7 years, until I hit a telephone pole with it. That pole just jumpet out at me. Never saw it.

Build update. I still have the nose fairing and fore wing fairing to install. She's heavy, should have made the wing lighter.
