RE: Scroll Saw Blades
Hi,
I use a scroll saw on a frequent basis and have had excellent results using the blades from Mike's. Great price and service. No connection here just a happy customer.

I attached a photo of one of my scrap wood projects. I like to build airplanes. Any size or scale.

Your workmanship is excellent. I would venture a guess that if you build flying models, they too would be masterpieces.
My jig saw is probably older than most people that frequent this site. Blades are not available so I take coping saw blades and cut them to length. I try to use a high tooth count for thin plywood.

A few changes in the fuselage layout and this could become a peppper mill. Thanks for the suggestion. Might be time to dig in the scrap box again.
John
Thanks for the kind words. Until recently I have been using a scroll saw that dated back to 1951. It now lives up the street with a new woodworker. I used to make the blades myself by cutting up old 1/16 inch bandsaw blades.

RE: Scroll Saw Blades
I second Mike's Workshop. He sells excellent blades at a good price. He will send you a few samples for free. These are very fine blades and do break easily so try several and then buy a gross of the ones you like. They run about $25.00/gross which is a good price.
The ones you find locally (lowes, sears, etc) are way too coarse for fine cuts unless all you cut is aircraft plywood.

Now John, your saw wasn't made in the 1950's, was it? To be older than some of us, it would have to be
