Default How do I clean the wire from my hot wire bow?

When I cut my foam wings, I get all kinds of crud sticking to the wire. It's a pain to get off. I try to scrape it, but I'm afraid of digging into the wire.

Any ideas how to get it off?

Thanks

Russ

I use acetone after each cut. Its a lot easier than getting it off after a big build up.

I used to wipe it off every time but don't do that anymore.

I think the easiest way to clean the wire is to string it in your bow, attach the clips to the wire, heat it up and wipe it off. You don't have to heat it up much, just until the goo gets soft.
