I'm well pleased with my choice of scheme.

When she sits in the hover she looks mean, could also use her as a sunscreen.

When she sits in the hover
wish mine would do that, gotta try a 13x4W, the 12.25x3.75 was just too small for a plane that wants to go around and use all the availble sky even tho it made keeping it pointing up easier. for now it's too unstable pointing upwards. it's better up high when i feel more comfortable having it leaning back slightly

Graham:

Referring to your post #261.

I would have thought, if you wanted an older deHavilland with two engines you would have chosen one of the Dragon variants. Haw.

My preferred DH twin is the Dove. And that one seems to be modeled even less often than the Dragons.

Bill.

What's happening out there in Capiche-world? All the excitement seems to have died down. I have just finished mine, powered with an ASP 52. Came out a spit over 5lb which depressed me for minutes. I had hoped for 4.5 to 4.75lb.
I took it to my club field (Kaiapoi Model Aero Club, near Christchurch NZ) for it's test flight yesterday, but had both radio and fuel problems. The engine is new and the idle needle is still not set right (I think), it splutters and burps through mid range.
My main problem is interference from the long servo leads to the tail. I have a couple of chokes fitted on the leads, but they don't seem to do any good.
The range check was scary, with the ailerons working independently. I rerouted the aerial to the rudder, and it fixed it, but I'm worried about the end few inches of the aerial catching between the rudder and the fin. Where do you guys run your aerial?
I notice that a host of different prop sizes appear through this thread - I am starting with 11x5 and I have a 12.25x3.24 (APC of course). I'm just a Sunday hack flier, (never managed to hover for example) so I'd appreciate hearing what you more accomplished pilots have settled on.
Any news on the eagerly awaited fun-fly wing?

happy landings

I suggest posting this question on the Capiche 50 thread on the 3D Forum
