Where to buy Spruce sticks?
Balsa USA, Lonestar, and Aircraft Spruce don't carry any (Aircraft Spruce does, but not in hobbyist dimensions). Is there another wood that is a suitable substitute?

RE: Where to buy Spruce sticks?
Aircraft Spruce does show on their web site that they carry it in the most commonly used dimensions starting with 1/8 " thickness x 3/16 width and lengths of 7 ft or less if desired

Try calling Aircraft Spruce. I have bought smaller spruce sticks from them before. They probably will have to cut it from bigger stock, but it just takes a little more time.

You can get spruce at most local lumberyards, not the same quality as from aircraft spruce but good enough for hobbyist. All you need is a table saw and you can make all the sticks you want, if you don't have a table saw you probably know someone who does that can rip the dimensions you need..
