Ambroid gone?
Anyone have a source for Ambriod cement? I can't find it anywhere and have been told that it has been discontinued.
I'm aware of the alternatives but I'd really like to find the real thing. Chuck |
If you google ambroid cement, there are a lot of places that sell it.

Yes, I tried that. While many offer it for sale I can't find one that actually has it. The last shop I called was in Connecticut and the woman laughed
and said 'I wish we did!' They haven't had any stock for months. Chuck |
Seems to me my LHS had some last time I was in there,, it's been a while though.give them a call http://www.strongsvillehobby.com/home.php

Thanks for the tip but no joy. The guy was helpful but they don't have it any more.
Thanks again. Chuck |

Thanks fritzke |
My distributor told me they get a small batch when ever the company makes a run of it. last run is going on 2 years now so hopes are not very high.

I've heard that before, i.e. that it is not continuously produced but in periodic batches and I recall some years ago that it disappeared for a while
and then suddenly was back in the shops (and I foolishly only bought two tubes) so maybe we are due for another run?? Unfortunately, my hopes are not high either since the only phone number I can find for them doesn't answer. Anyway, thanks for the reply. Chuck |
It must still be available? I have a friend that is a 75 year builder... He still gets his Ambroid out and takes a deep whiff of it now and then... He says he is checking to tell if it went bad?
